The Name

The company takes its name from mythology. CEDALION was a blacksmith and toolmaker who guided the blinded Orion back into the light of the sun where he regained his vision. CEDALION.net enables its clients to capitalize on the benefits of information technology (IT) by guiding them through the complex maze of technology solutions to develop and implement a strategic IT vision that will help them meet strategic business goals.

Managing business computer systems can be difficult and time consuming. In addition to performing routine maintenance (patch installation, virus definition updates, checking server event and back up logs), IT professionals also have other obstacles to contend with.  Some of the realities of technology include hardware or power failures, buggy software, unforeseen incompatibilities, and the realities of getting employees to use computers the way you intended.   CEDALION.net can help you whether you choose to outsource your entire IT function or if you simply need additional resources to augment your existing IT department on a special project or ongoing basis.

Staff

Our engineers have broad experience supporting large and small clients on a range of standardized software applications. Like anything else, with experience, handling these everyday obstacles becomes more straightforward, predictable, and less expensive. 

CEDALION’s professional staff works hard to maintain the highest level of industry expertise. Our systems engineers regularly maintain industry certifications for Microsoft, SalesLogix, 3Com, Raritan and other partners.

At Cedalion, no systems engineer has less than six years of hands-on experience and most of our engineers have well over 15 years of information technology industry experience.  In addition, the staff has access to a wide range of technical tools and training from our technology partners that help them leverage productivity and stay current with new technologies.

Facilities

CEDALION’s corporate headquarters are located in southeast Charlotte and facilities include state-of-the-art network, telephony, and data center equipment.  We also have project meeting rooms, a computer demonstration laboratory and training areas for collaborating with our partners and clients. 

Our Data Center is located in a secure facility in downtown Charlotte. The facility has fully redundant connectivity and power system, including dual power grids and diesel backup generators. Physical security includes key card access, security guard on premises 24x7, extensive video surveillance and stringent data center escort requirements. In addition, we deploy leading hardware and software solutions for data/network security.
